I am trying to create a poll on Ignis CC to get opinions on this matter but my tx is not confirming. Is there a good reason for this? I paid what the poll creation form calculated as the minimum fee.
Thinking about it, can we have a Replace-by-fee feature for times when the bundler is suddenly unable to make a child block but the tx is already pending. Waiting for it to expire may be one option but it takes time. It'll be convenient to be able to override it with a larger fee.

Hmmm... after about 10 hours the tx is gone from the mempool and the poll is not created.
Sounds like the transaction expired.  The deadline parameter specifies the number of minutes that the transaction remains valid.

It was set to 1440 blocks, I think it is still pending. There are no bundlers now that charge that rate but when I sent it the form gave me that fee to pay and I paid it.

I can't check it now since I'm running 2.0.1e which rolled back the database.  I'll see if I can create a poll on the new release.

I created a poll on 2.0.1e on the IGNIS chain.  The calculated fee was 1 IGNIS.  This is correct since poll creation costs 10 ARDR and the bundler rate was 0.1.

Yeah, what I wrote about was a special case or a bug, maybe we can re-produce it later.

The only thing a bundler needs to know is how much he is willing to give away Ardor for, which isn't that much of a business skill requirement. Maybe the bundler form UI could be improved to pull the last few child chain coin / ardor trades rates for reference to save a few clicks to open the coin exchange page.
Also consider making the rates of other bundlers available. Currently users are only shown the single "best" rate for the child chain. I think users would like to know if, for example, a bundler that is asking a higher rate is also offering a higher overpay. If I am starting my own bundler I might want it to offer slightly better, or slightly worse, then other bundlers. If there are a lot of them, I might not even bother.

Exchange rates are specified this way. EUR/USD means that 1 EUR is exchanged for 1.06 USD as of today. The opposite rate is USD/EUR 0.94

See:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Currency_pair
https://www.dailyfx.com/eur-usd

Similarly 0.1 ARDR/IGNIS means that 1 ARDR is exchanged for 0.1 Ignis

Thanks for the explanation. So I will need to think different and twice when exchanging currencies.

dhj.

I felt the same, while I'm not german, but Riker answer is correct. So perhaps the rate input field should always be presented this way :

Rate: ARDR/IGNIS [0.1] instead of Rate: [0.1] ARDR/IGNIS
Stricly speaking it should even be ARDR/IGNIS Rate: [0.1]
