Please scammers stop sending me messages asking me to send NXT first. Do I look like an idiot?

Thanks for the support everyone. If you know how please send me a signed message with the BTC address you send from in the PM. Something like "My forum name is _____" will be fine.

Could  OP post somekind of proof of being Cointropololis we know. Just in case forum account isn't hacked. I don't like the words 'asap' & 'send first' in crypto.   :)

Sure, what kind of proof would you like?

Isnt the current rate closer to .00012 BTC per NXT?

I am confused are you asking to buy NXT at 25%+ below market or are you offering to sell NXT at 25% below market?

I can accomodate any deal with a 25% profit margin for me, but of course not if I have to provide a 25% subsidy

P.S. This sure sounds like an incredible opportunity for someone to make ~100BTC and it is based on the large price discrepancy.

I am selling NXT below market. As everyone knows here I am a HUGE NXT supporter, and as part of that I own zero BTC. I need BTC quick and I am hoping to fill it by tomorrow so I can guarantee that I get this deal done. Below market now but after the details come out the NXT I still own will be so far multiplied it will make up for the ~ 25 %. It is below market but I was hoping the community would not rush to sell for the gain. If that was the case I could just sell on BTER and drive the price to nothing myself.

Thanks for the support so far everyone. Already got 106.9999! And don't worry Mr 49.9999, I won't call you out by name for making the math so hard  ;)

And why $200,000?

I could have done the deal for less, and the ~ $200k is actually in addition to my own fiat. The reason for the amount is to lock in NXT as the exclusive crypto on the platform (a platform everyone has heard of).

No details until AFTER the deal Ezravdb. Don't you know that that is the Cointropolis Way? You send BTC First! Then you find out later WHY? and WHAT for?

Cointropolis. Stop with the HYPE PLEASE. If you have 400 BTC of NXT, put it on BTER and SELL it. There was a 124 BTC buy order yesterday that was filled. What makes you think your 400 BTC will not get bought? It is a drop in the NXT bucket vs. the buy orders and volume that NXT is exhibiting vs. ALL OTHER Alt-coins.

I have never let the community down. If you are skeptical that is your right, I will publicly post each BTC transaction ID with a corresponding NXT transaction to this thread for BTC address 15p51ehvmC53TCmye1kGgVi3ByPp9gHfFS.

Let me see how I can give details without violating my NDA....

The deal will provide a real world presence, in an exclusive fashion. This presence already has substantial world wide use.

Note: Do not send money to this user, the account may be compromised! We are waiting for verification from John that this is him and not a scammer.

As a result of some of my contacts I have come across an incredible opportunity for the community.

This opportunity will provide more exposure than any alt today, and will rival Bitcoin itself.

The problem is I need BTC to make it happen. I have plenty that I could convert to BTC, but taking this much to an exchange(s) would for sure be a huge dump.

I need 400 BTC and I was hoping that I community members would trade me directly for NXT (off exchange). My reputation alone should be enough to get this done.

For the first 400 BTC only (it is all I need, anything over will be returned), I will give a NXT / BTC 0.000095 exchange rate. So for each 1 BTC you get 10,526 NXT. This is first come first serve, the only request is you don't go dump it at an exchange the second you get it (the karma gods are watching!!!).

I feel I can do this deal because I know this is going to boost the value of NXT exponentially.

To participate send BTC to REMOVED FOR NOW and then PM me (all payouts will happen within a few hours of me confirming the deposit came from you). Only the first 400 BTC will be eligible, any after that I will return to the originating address!

Scammers don't bother sending me a PM trying to get me to send NXT first, with my reputation this deal is BTC first.

Thanks to all!

I'm going to chalk up any internet forum bitchiness as being the end of a hard week, well fought.

For a marketer, John, you really should be better at holding your tongue. It seems to be one of the issues that sets people of on these forums.

Yeah you worked hard, yeah you issued an asset. but Vega and I are both being civil and replying to your request for hand outs. I'm sure your whales have already paid you for your trip. Your flight and maybe hotel. You issued an asset, which i did read,
This will also allow us to showcase how Nxt can become the basis for a stable and relevant platform from which to build upon. ConnectTropolis virtual token holders will be rewarded a percentage based on the number of tokens held. The reward pool will consist of 50% of the coins earned by the ConnectTropolis services
Does begging on the forums count as "coins earned by the ConnectTropolis services"?

Anything raised will be shared. Nah, just certain people get me going. :)

I sent a PM, and have a safe flight.

Your hard work IS appreciated, so let's figure out some ways to make the work pay off.

I feel the same way. It's really hard on the internet to express an opinion without conveying unintended offence.
But these are thing that need to be made clear, or at least one side will feel slighted.

We had something like 60 business cards.. my time was dealing with that all night and working on a few internal projects for NXT (again, no pay lol). If I seem cranky, I apologize.   I bet the Amsterdam team can relate the utter tiredness that comes from these events.

Love you guys, no worries... I felt like we did right by NXT which helps all our investments.  Moving forward, I won't be the one waving my hands. :)

Fly time!  Whoever made the 2k donation, thank you.. that was incredibly kind of you.

We didn't use CoinTropolis in any interviews, including the main speech.  If one added one, that wasn't my doing or recommendation. I know the big one that was posted wasn't.

These aren't our clients... our clients are other crypto communities. Read the asset.  There's nothing for an investor to really chunk into with us.. however, it doesn't help NXT jump which indirectly helps our value.

Look, I won't volunteer for any of these going forward and there will be no double dips. At this point, I'm 100% fine with that.

There's a lot of truth to what you said, I need to charging for services. That'll change moving forward.

I agree 100% and you deserve it. If your services were attached to an asset, I would consider investing.

I am not picking any fight. i am prodding you towards earning your fees as a percent of business done.

EventTropolis will allow any coin community to hire us, there are fees built into those services. I was trying to help a few investors that PM'd me personally that wanted in on PayExpo and would feel better if we went to represent.  I'm still a small guy, full time job outside of this, we wanted to help out because those guys are friends to the community.. always stepping up to donate.

It was a great experience for NXT, but in all honesty, far more work than most understood.  Anyway, I'll get those rates up shortly after getting back to the States. We're getting ready to make our way to the plane.

There's a lot of truth to what you said, I need to charging for services.. especially ones that take this much time and personal expense. That'll change moving forward.

Anyway, if you don't want to donate to me.. at least donate to the rest.

For 15k, the message needs to be pretty important. That's the ROI that comes with private enterprise.

Maybe James has a killer idea that needs a Vegas booth? Just talking about a free, decentralized, currency is a bit out of prospective.

I'd recommend asking the people outside of CoinTropolis if they felt PayExpo was worth the time as well as the people that were the major stake holders that wanted it to happen.  Just a balanced perspective, I see your suggestion about commercial enterprise equally valid.

seriously, i'm not just messing with you, but its time to start paying your own bills.

You have a company, with 30 employees. You just had a trip to London paid for where you met global bankers. You mentioned moving to London part time to take advantage of these developments, I can only imagine there are 100 ways to make money off the information you have learned, and you deserve every dollar you earn with this info. You really busted your hump it sounds like.

So man up and make your riches the old fashioned way.

30? Unless I made a typo somewhere, you are. *sigh* I'm paying 6 people out of pocket not nearly enough and some PTers (4) that are working in exchange for learning the industry. This is what you get for volunteering, appreciate the reminder. :)

I plan to spend time in London and give it a go, far from bankrolled. I believe there's huge opportunity here and if we pass it up, we're just burning money.

You're right, I need to focus on my own asset instead of trying to help all the time. Funny how people forget I was asked to join this project, I never asked.  Appreciate the comment.

If you don't want to donate toward time I gave up, fine. But to sit here and spread crap (yet again -- election) is ridiculous.  I did my job, moving on.

Someone needs to be there, the community can figure it out. ALL I'm doing is reminding everyone that it's already filling up, nothing more. Just helping grease the wheel. :) I obviously have obligations for the service in our asset, I will focus on getting our team to smaller events.. it doesn't have to be.

Ok, onto other threads. The Money 20/20 guys seem to have their act together, definitely another wonderful opportunity.  I'll volunteer some help remote if needed.

John, time to step up, and start funding your own business. $15k for a booth for a decentralized currency promotion is insane.

$15k for a business that can leverage a crypto economy with dirt cheap transaction fees is, as they say, priceless. Cointropolis is planning an IPO no? Figure out your business model for directly working with investors and start making some money. You are obviously a talented speaker, leader, and deal maker.

Put your ideas to paper, and release your asset. If it sounds right, people will back you. Kick off the community funds training wheels and do this yourself.

All your hard work will continue to benefit NXT, and your deals will compensate you as they pan out.

I really don't care if it's me going, period.
In fact, I'm somewhat done with all this volunteering to be perfectly honest.

Eventropolis (part of the asset) can help any community... either directly or remote. I'm sure others would hope I'd charge so they can get a reward through it. I help where I can. As much as I appreciate the faith, I just don't have the time for all the projects.

These are great events, something to consider.. no vested interest either way.  If I was a larger stake holder and I was considering a Bitcoin Conference and this one, I'd choose Money 20/20.

I'm literally copying the PM that someone sent me to set a fire. I sent a follow-up to the organizer I met at the PayExpo as part of my role.

Note: Do not send money to this user, the account may be compromised! We are waiting for verification from John that this is him and not a scammer.

For: Justabitoftime and NiftyNikel
Note: Please make sure to also take care of Lawyer-of-Nxt, Abuella, TxtCoinsNow and Chancer

If you felt we did a good job at PayExpo2014, please feel free to donate.  If not, please make sure you at least review the progress in the PayExpo thread. It's important we are all on the same page:

- Many days of prep before the event

- 7 interviews
* Each will be posted as they appear

- Main stage presentation

- Meetings past 2am both Wednesday and Thursday (LawyerofNXT was with us)

- 1 interview has a reach of 400k paper in London, follow-up interview happened on Friday

- Confirmed meetings (Lawyer of NXT was with us almost the whole time) with VCs, brokers, banks, hedge fund guys, mobile networks etc.. (thanks Lee)  Most of these will take a bit to develop but it'll happen... just like GoCoin.

- Summaries and direct feedback from the companies that are viewing NXT in some type of capacity

- Gocoin announcement (that was months of prep.. lots of behind the scenes)

- Booth work

- Endless follow-ups

We will send Intmain a full breakdown on expenses, verify we're in agreement and send back any additional coin. He was extremely generous pulling out of his own pocket, we didn't have to use the additional funds that were raised for the event. We didn't take 1 CENT of profit.. we function strictly on donations. We also didn't charge for unpaid days off from work.

In fact, Lee and I spent quite a bit out of pocket to entertain. He warned me ahead of time, that's just part of it.

PayExpo (London, June 11-12, 2014) / Final Day - Wrapping it All Up
« on: June 15, 2014, 04:37:45 am »
I've been working on follow-ups all day/night. It's now 5:30am and need to get up in about 90 minutes to start working my way to the plane. I believe I met my obligations + extra time. I've messaged intmain about the funding and how we'll get everything itemized when we get back to the States.

(update) If you feel we did a good job, I create a donation thread here:

If you don't want to donate to me, at least throw a couple NXT at everyone else.  The team busted their butts to make sure you were represented well.
