Have you tried using your NXT address as the passphrase, maybe you mixed up the two

Nxt Helpdesk / Re: Account Hacked and Drained
« on: December 13, 2017, 04:15:02 am »
today i realize unkown transaction at 9/22
and all my nxt transfered other's account.

over 15000 nxt...

is there any solution for this situation

seems like he(Hacker?) still on actively doing something

his account is "NXT-5CFL-QTTH-D6K2-AC4TF"

my account is "NXT-AWQG-GJJK-VFV8-9BNNB"

plz help me

I had the same account take all funds from my mynxt wallet. Looking at the block explorer they transferred funds to Bittrex three days ago. They also seem to be making many transactions including selling assets and doing lots of shuffling. So anyone who sees this don't do business with account NXT-5CFL-QTTH-D6K2-AC4TF

Is it strange they continue to use the same account?

Heh, it's silent here - Slack had a sizebale party going on ;)!
Nice to see the cake going - the space is getting small for fitting more candles.

I just added the candles to the cake you made, I think next year you will have to make a new one or maybe there can be a competition to make the best cake

Nxt Client Helpdesk / Forging Problem with new account on 1.11.5
« on: April 07, 2017, 04:59:04 am »
Hi

I just created a new account and am running the 1.11.5 client.

I have a small amount of nxt in the account which has passed the 1440+ confirmations.

The client when started says forging but after about 10 seconds says not forging
If I try to click it a message states "your effective balance is zero, you cannot forge"

I have tried restarting the nxt client and running the wallet in a private window, but the problem persists.

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

here's a good one to fork. The triagles can be smaller of course and they would need to be redesigned to look like the ardor logo or something in the same design feel.

Like this?

or this

or finish on Ardor blue?

Good to see this proactive approach being discussed, keep up all the great work.

I'm a little concerned with fNXT. if fNXT is required for certain transactions and can be forged makes a possibility that fNXT will be centralised and so the price can be controlled by the whales. This would be fine if fNXT wasn't needed for anything other than forging but seems it is, I feel as though problems could occur sometime in the future.

I thought that fNXT would only be used for forging. Of course, there is nothing to stop people using fNXT as money, since it will be freely tradeable, but that's inevitable.

I'm sure i read that certain transactions would require fNXT such as creating a new child chain

Yes, that's probably correct. Wouldn't make sense to use anything else.
Yes, I agree.
So I think it has the potential to give a lot of control to the forgers if they become centralised enough in the future, but maybe i am thinking about it wrong and market forces will determine the price

Official Nxt Releases / Re: NRS v1.7.4
« on: January 11, 2016, 07:59:07 am »
Same happens to me.

I use a passphrase as always. I paste the passphrase, hit ENTER or click the arrow and nothing happens.
The passphrase box is automatically cleared and that's it.

Same result in IE 11 and Firefox 43.0.1

I cleared the cache on both browsers, redownloaded the blockchain after a fresh install of 1.7.4

Oh, I use the latest available Java version and Windows 7 64bit (up to date with patches).

(EDIT) on my Mac it's running just fine, but I hardly use it there. I normally leave NRS running on one of my MS VM's fulltime.

Ok, I reproduced this with IE11, doesn't happen with Chrome on Windows though. Perhaps it's related to fixes we made to data entry on Android. Please create a ticket for this on https://bitbucket.org/JeanLucPicard/nxt/issues

You are right!

I downloaded chrome and everything is working as it's supposed to be  ;)

By the way: in Firefox the passphrase line is greyed-out.
I will create a ticket. Thanks for your help!

With Chrome everything is working fine.
I actually have an operational NXT Client vs 1.7.4 now!  Hooray!!! :D
Thanks for the help.

Same happened to me but i updated firefox (in firefox - Help- About Firefox) and now it works fine
chrome doesn't work but maybe that needs updating too
the java nrs was working when the browser wasnt

Its always good to do the whole throw the dough in the air infront of customers.
Dessert Pizzas can be popular
APPLE CRUMBLE - caramelised apple, almond crumble, cinnamon dust & vanilla
CHOCOLATE TRUFFLE CREAM - chocolate truffle, vanilla bean mascarpone & toffee crunch
NUTELLA & STRAWBERRY - nutella base, fresh strawberries, vanilla gelato & chocolate sauce
RASPBERRY & CRACKED BLACK PEPPER - Creme fraiche base, fresh raspberries, cracked black pepper,  double cream quenelles
enjoy :)

I copy and pasted the blockchain from the old nrs to the new nrs
then restarted the new nrs and it worked for me
i think it was from 1.5.8 the db moved to %appdata%
hope this helps

Some good points brought up in this thread.
If it was lowest price people were after then there would be no premium products in this world.
How does nike sell a $50 tshirt when it costs them cents
Australia is the biggest pirates but are also charged the highest prices for digital goods.
If there is fairness then people will pay even if there are cheaper versions for many reasons
convenience, supporting an artist etc
you can download music/movies for free but people still pay for these items.
I guess the question is how to market the marketplace as bazzar is doing well even though it isnt as good as nxt marketplace

My device was cleared with my google authenticator
Is there a way to access my mynxt.info wallet without the 2FA?
Thanks in advance

What if the identity of owner and time of publishing is required to sell
Then users, using something like the voting system could penalize an account for selling a copy
or leave the penalizing to original seller/predefined group of users and users just agree that it is a copy with a minimum threshold to avoid bad actors.
Not technical but this does seem an interesting puzzle to solve
even if it didnt cost anything to vote, what participation level will there be?
what prevents the pirate from voting 1000x
I didnt think about the cost
what about an authority to oversee sales, and a percentage of sales going to this group.
As in they would find copies and punish the seller
I guess it would weaken the decentralisation of the market, but maybe offer a solution?
