Ardor General Discussion / Re: ARDOR APP STORE (BOUNTY PROGRAM)
« on: January 03, 2019, 08:53:02 am »
DAPP of crowfundings
The idea is to create a decentralized Kickstarter with no fees (the fees of these platforms are 5%).
The operation of a crowfunding needs tools that are already available in Ardor, so that only a GUI is necessary to integrate them and give them the conventional form of a web of crowfundings.
Each project must create a unique Ardor account for crowfunding, and describe in "Set Account Info" the purpose of crowfunding, web, etc.
The rewards would be created as offers in the Marketplace.
To visualize the objectives, the amount collected, etc., API calls would be made to the balance of the account.
To improve the reliability of the system, the account properties could be used to visualize (optionally) only the crowfundings endorsed by a third party.

NOTE: This same GUI could serve as an interface for ICOs. In that case, instead of rewards in the Marketplace, the characteristics of the MS would be used. A "reservable" currency would be created, with minimum, maximum collection, etc.

Ardor General Discussion / ARDOR APP STORE (BOUNTY PROGRAM)
« on: December 26, 2018, 11:34:02 am »
1. PRESENTATION
A web that presents the projects of tools of free use in Ardor that are promoted by the community.
Each project would have a space for
-an image,
-a description of its use case,
-the link to github
-the coordinator,
-the cumulative reward that would earn the dev.

2. BOUNTIES.
The devs and designers who work on the projects would receive the bounty, in proportion to their work. The distribution would be decided by the coordinator, and would only be executed when the objectives are met.

The bounties would come from voluntary contributions. Each donor could decide if his contribution is destined to the group of projects, or to one in particular. ANG would be in charge of managing those funds, which could be in Ardor/Ignis or Bitcoin, USD, EUR, etc.

3. EXAMPLES OF DAPPs.
DAPPs for free use would be financed. This tool is not designed to finance lucrative projects. DAPPs could be created as stand-alone programs, browser plugins or websites.
List of examples:
-DAPP for url record, crypto addresses, etc. using the Alias.
-Metamask-like plugin.
-Mixer of coins.
-Asset Exchange.
-Marketplace.
-Auctions.
-Voting system.

Nxt General Discussion / Re: ARDOR Child Chains EUR, USD and BTC

the best kept secret of Jelurida.
A wondeful christmas gift, if it is such amazing as we are thinking about.
A little catastrophe if there is no answer.
At the moment, a big silence about it.

Me estaba preguntando ultimamente si sería Riker.

By the way, I heard so often that the blockchain is the solution for the manipulation of elections, and some people talk about use it in normal elections (USA, as I remember). I cannot believe they forget the need of "secret vote". Maybe there is another blockchain platform where it can be done? Anybody knows?

10
I do not think it is so hard. I imagine a web where the citizen need to create a passphrase and get the adress (the same as the NRS intro), and then he has to verify himself: a) Doing it phisically, at any government office, b) Sendind personal identification via internet.
The government has the census of all Identification Numbers (social security, identity card, etc.), so it is not difficult to verify and avoid duplicate accounts.
The next steep is made by the government: sending to each verified account one vote token, and the NXT enough to broadcast the vote.

11
In my country, votes are supposed to be (a) anonymous; (b) unable to be sold. I don't see how Nxt can manage this. The suggested way to make voting anonymous is to vote by an asset token, and shuffle the asset, but if you can shuffle the asset you can also transfer it to someone else and thus sell your vote. I think we'd need a non-transferable asset, and the shuffling to happen as part of the voting protocol itself. We'd need encrypted votes too, of course.

Initially I thought in a MS currency "controllable", so unable to be sold. But I did not know the vote is public. So, at least the issuer (it est, the gov that have to send the vote token once it verify the identity) will be able to know if the citizen have voted "Yes" or "No".
And this is inacceptable.
I thought the blockchain shows if one account has voted, but not what has it voted. What a pity! It would be an amazing feature.
By the way, I was just talking about the operational issue of the referendum, not about political opinions.

12
That will be another kind of problem. Step by step!

13
If you read the papers, you should know what is going on in Catalonia. The catalonian institutions want to do a referendum of independence next Oct 1, but the Spanish goverment want to ban it. So, the police are stealing ballot papers, minutes of voting, summons for members of polling stations, plastic ballot boxes ... And they are supposed to prevent by force the opening of polling stations.
It is really difficult to make a referendum in the traditional way if the police sabotage it.
Now, what if the Catalan institutions used the NXT platform, or a clone provided by Jelurida? What police could prevent a vote on the platform?
That, plus the process would be a thousand times cheaper, reliable and secure than with paper ballots.
It is just an idea. If I were catalan, I would be talking with my institutions to propose them to use NXT. If I were in Jelurida, I would travel to Barcelona right now.a

PS. By the way, I do not know if the NXT platform can proces a pool with 7 milions of votes. Mybe the secret optimization that was mentioned last month. Or mybe if the time to vote last an entire week.
